I'm a lifelong student who has since childhood been enamoured by
human languages and the communication that takes place between human beings. My areas of
interest, thus, fall in a long spectrum, from the origins of languages throughout human
history to the area of social and communication psychology, dealing with day to day human
interactions, as well as translation and programming.

I am glad to have played a leading role from the beginning in Çamlık. I took part in the summer camp programme of Nankai University in China, thanks to the Confucius Institute at Yeditepe University. My incredible experience there has been the greatest catalyst for my passion ever since, fuelling my ambitions regarding China and Chinese even more.
I took part in Sabancı University's programme for undergraduate research (PURE) during the summer of 2018, working with Professor Mehmet Kuru as a research assistant on his discovery of translations of Aesop's fables dating back to the early years of the Ottoman Empire.
I got to experience the life of a highschool student in Germany, thanks to the exchange programme at Avrupa Koleji, living there with a host family at home, and attending classes in German at school. My host family's son later came to Turkey to stay with us as well.
